I think PlaceCal are a good candidate for this, and potentially so is Solidarity Tech <https://www.solidarity.tech/> who I'm speaking to later today. I'd argue Zetkin too, but I feel they've been quite conservative about how fast they want to roll out and not necessarily interested in mass usage — which is fine. I feel like Mapped is still in the 'seeking product-market fit' stage with a lot of fruitful avenues to explore, but not firm enough yet to approach this kind of fund. Yeah I can do! This is my first week on my own after starting the year with 11 staff so just getting my ducks in a row. I wonder if a really solid pitch here would be to focus on our existing successful placecal networks but kinda do it 1,2,3: 1 - TransDim will have expanded to Manchester by then and thats the "proof" 2 - Tipping Point have done a really successful pilot in the NE but now need their own custom frontend 3 - 1 more site that's just starting needs some help doing Y and isnt quite there yet (norwich?) We could even do 1 and 2 only but i think itd make sense to it this way? Does that make sense? I am not sure when I'm gonna find the time to write the application tho. This does look like a really good fit for PlaceCal. The "operating with a team of 4 or more full time paid employees" may be an issue though. I guess it's worth presenting our situation and ask if there is a way around that? It's complicated by having just scaled back and the fact that PHT has never employed 4 full time people, even though we could argue that GFSC had probably equivalent of 4 ft employees, it would be difficult to argue that they were working on PHT stuff all of that time. I guess it's worth presenting our situation and ask if there is a way around that? It's complicated by having just scaled back and the fact that PHT has never employed 4 full time people, even though we could argue that GFSC had probably equivalent of 4 ft employees, it would be difficult to argue that they were working on PHT stuff all of that time.
