Heya all, new release now live. The ONS May 2024 boundary data is now imported, fixing postcode lookups in redistricted areas. The key change is support for unitary authorities — the May 2024 ONS data switched from a CTY (shire counties only) to CTYUA column that includes both shire counties and unitary authorities like County Durham, Bristol, and Newcastle. For unitary authorities the CTYUA code equals the district code, so the import now skips the duplicate county row to keep the hierarchy correct (ward → district, not ward → county). This fixes the "postcode has been found but could not be mapped to a neighbourhood" error that users in these areas were seeing. This is a fairly big change and only the second time we've updated the ward boundaries since PlaceCal started, so do let us know if you spot any issues. In addition, iCal feeds have had several fixes for broken URLs, escaping issues, and event deduplication, and the event neighbourhood filter should now be working properly.
