There was a bug in the last version that was preventing partnership admins
creating new partners due to a validation error. Sorry about that! This is
now fixed.
It also improves some form microcopy and trims whitespace from strings
before validation to cut down on erroneously saved spaces.

Hi All,
This sprint our main focus has been improving the calendar importer and how
we display events.
- We’ve updated the UI to make it easier to understand what is happening
- We’ve changed the behaviour so that any event that can be imported, is
imported. This means that events with no addresses or broken addresses can
now be imported and will appear in your events calendar.
- Giving partners more control over which events are assigned to them.
Partners will now by default not have events assigned to them by other
calendars, but can opt in to connect to events if desired.
- Events that have URLs will now appear as online events with a link
- We’ve started recording the date source data changes from calendars we
import so organisers can spot if calendars are no longer actively
maintained.
You can read more here about how this will work.
<https://handbook.placecal.org/admin-handbook/how-to-add-a-calendar-to-place…>
We’ve also made lots of other small changes, including:
- Updating our privacy policy to properly reflect how we process and
store data, in line with GDPR
- Some improvements to the instance UIs, like defaulting to showing all
events or weekly events on sites with fewer events, and improving the
homepage for place based sites by tweaking the banner.
